Are you a dependable driver with a passion for vehicles and exceptional customer service? We are seeking a dedicated Vehicle Porter to join a leading organization in Midland, TX. This vital role ensures efficient transportation, vehicle maintenance, and outstanding service delivery, making a difference every day. What You'll Do:
- Safely drive individuals and deliver content between designated points, handling emergency or priority requests with professionalism.
- Load, unload, and verify the accuracy of deliveries and pickups.
- Conduct daily inspections of assigned vehicles to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness.
- Follow traffic, parking regulations, and company safety procedures at all times.
- Assist in overseeing pool vehicles, including washing, vacuuming, and basic detailing to keep vehicles ready for use.
- Perform vehicle walk-arounds, coordinate telematics device replacements, and handle vehicle movement from dealerships and field sites.
- Inspect incoming or remarketed vehicles for damage and readiness.
- Support other driving duties as required to keep operations running smoothly.
Required Skills:
- Strong driving skills with a clean, responsible driving record.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- Ability to perform basic maintenance and vehicle inspections.
- Capacity to handle specialized driving techniques and maneuver in emergency situations.
- Physical capability to load/unload and perform vehicle detailing tasks.
- Bilingual skills are preferred, with fluency in English essential.
Nice to Have Skills:
- Knowledge of transportation routes and navigation.
- Experience with telematics devices and vehicle remarketing processes.
- Basic vehicle maintenance skills.
- Prior experience in a fleet or transportation environment.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Valid Class A CDL license maintained in good standing.
- Prior experience in vehicle transportation or similar roles preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must possess and maintain a Class A CDL license.
- Ability and willingness to work Monday through Friday, with 40+ hours per week.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with professionalism and discretion.
