About the Role
Join our dedicated team in Southend-on-Sea as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) specializing in Looked After Children (LAC). We are seeking a passionate and skilled individual to contribute to the well-being and development of children in care. As a QSW in the LAC team, you will be responsible for a range of key duties, including:
Assessing the needs of children and young people in care, ensuring their safety and welfare.
Developing and implementing care plans in collaboration with children, families, and other professionals.
Conducting regular reviews and monitoring the progress of children in care.
Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records in compliance with statutory requirements.
The ideal candidate will possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
Registration with Social Work England.
Experience working with looked after children and knowledge of relevant legislation and policies.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment.
