Assistant Quantity Surveyor - Main Contractor - Central London
Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + package (dependent on experience)
An established and highly regarded main contractor with a strong pipeline of prestigious commercial, residential, and retail projects is seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. Based across Central London office and project sites, this is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career to gain exposure to high-profile schemes while developing under experienced senior professionals.
This role is ideal for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor looking to build on existing experience within a supportive, fast-paced environment, with clear progression into a Quantity Surveyor position.
Role Overview
Title: Assistant Quantity Surveyor
- Projects: Commercial, Residential & Retail schemes
- Location: Central London
- Salary: £35,000 - £50,000 + package (dependent on experience)
- Start: ASAP (flexible for notice periods)
- Type: Permanent
Responsibilities
- Assist in procurement of subcontractor packages
- Support with valuations, variations, and cost reporting
- Work closely with senior members of the commercial team
- Attend site meetings and assist with project delivery
- Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation
Requirements
- Previous experience in an Assistant QS role or relevant placement experience
- Exposure to main contractor environments preferred
- Strong numerical and organisational skills
- Eagerness to learn and progress within a commercial role
- Good communication skills and a proactive attitude
