A London based fintech/payments client are doubling their global tech offering and embarking on an exciting rebrand; looking for a Technical Lead/Hands-on Engineering Manager to facilitate the growth and development of their software engineering teams. You will be specifically working to scale and improve their new payments platform as well as launching a new range of fintech products.
Whilst the team are working in Python, this is by no means essential to be considered – the chief importance is that you have worked with payments technologies and understand associated principles/nuances of the industry. Role overview:
50/50 hands-on and technical/people leadership
Working with engineers to uphold and define scalable long-term platform architecture
Leading and mentoring skilled team of 3-5 engineers / helping with scaling & interviews where necessary
Lead from the front and foster a culture of accountability, extreme ownership
Technical experience:
Payments experience essential
Python nice to have but other backend languages considered
Cloud services and CICD
Salary and benefits: Up to £120k & 15% bonus
Please note – this role will require 4 days per week in office/onsite in London.
Interview process: 3 stages then offer (x1 technical interview – 1 peer review/team meeting – 1 meeting with Engineering Director – offer)
