Role: Area Sales Manager
Salary: £50,000 OTE + Company Car, Phone & Laptop
Shift: Monday – Friday (40hrs)
My client, a successful and growing machinery dealership in the UK, is seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to support their sales team.
This role offers a varied mix of field sales, branch support and customer service, backed by a trusted name in the industry.
What you’ll be doing in your new Area Sales Manager role:
- Promote and sell agricultural machinery and services to customers within a defined territory.
- Follow the full sales process to achieve high-performance results, leveraging available sales tools.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of all products, services, and financing options, and participate in relevant training.
- Monitor competitor activity and provide feedback to management via CRM.
- Conduct on-site demonstrations and support machinery deliveries, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers in the assigned sales area.
- Keep management informed of trends or changes in customer requirements.
- Collaborate with sales specialists and other team members when necessary to meet customer needs.
The successful Area Sales Manager will have:
- Ideally at least one year of sales experience in agricultural or machinery-related industries (full training will be provided).
- Understanding of agricultural equipment and farm operations is desirable.
- Competent with standard computer applications, internet functions, and sales tools.
- Ability to analyse sales reports and customer data effectively.
- Strong customer service and relationship-building skills.
- Flexible and willing to work extended hours as required.
- Honest, professional, and proactive with a positive attitude.
