Private Sector Housing -- HMOs

HMOs Inspections To Be Completed!

Location: East of England
Rate: Up to £40ph
Contract: 6 months (strong extension potential)
Start: July

A Local Authority in the East of England is seeking an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer to support a busy HMO licensing and compliance service.

The Role

• HMO inspections and licensing compliance checks
• HHSRS assessments
• Identifying hazards and breaches
• Working with landlords to achieve compliance
• Enforcement follow-up and report writing (Uniform)

This is a hands-on, inspection-focused role, primarily working with HMOs rather than general PSH.

Requirements

• Strong HMO and Private Sector Housing experience
• Practical HHSRS knowledge
• Ability to work independently
• Housing or Environmental Health qualification desirable
  (EHRB registration not required)

Working Arrangements

• Ideally full-time
• Minimum 3 days on-site for inspections
• Hybrid working available
• 4-day week or part-time considered
