Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Sporting Background Advantageous)

Teaching Personnel is supporting a friendly primary school in Partington to recruit a dynamic Teaching Assistant with experience in sports coaching or a strong sporting background. This role offers an exciting opportunity to bring your love of sport into the classroom while helping pupils grow academically, socially, and physically.
About the Role
Provide support to pupils across KS1 and KS2 in both classroom lessons and PE sessions.
Assist teachers with delivering lessons, managing the classroom, and preparing resources.
Lead or support small group interventions, including activities promoting teamwork, confidence, and physical well-being.
Use sport-based strategies to encourage positive behaviour and engagement.
Help plan, organise, and deliver PE lessons, sports activities, and extra-curricular clubs.
Candidate Requirements
Experience working as a sports coach or in a sports-related role (school or community setting).
Ability to inspire and motivate children through physical activity and teamwork.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
A proactive attitude and a genuine interest in supporting pupil development.
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
