About the Role

Summary

The network provides a safe and inclusive space for our LGBT+ community to connect and support one another as well as providing advice and information for our non-LGBT+ colleagues and allies who may have questions regarding the community. It raises awareness of challenges faced and promotes LGBT+ inclusion through regular communication, resources and participation in local Pride and other LGBT+ events. Our Pride Network also works with other companies to champion LGBT+ inclusion in the sectors within which we operate.

Objectives

Expand the network's reach and membership, especially in regions where LGBT+ rights and representation are more challenging.

Enhance the network's communication and engagement, using various channels and platforms to share information, resources, and best practices.

Create an awareness of opportunities for network members and allies, such as education, training, mentoring, and coaching.

Advocate for the network's interests and needs, both internally and externally, and influence positive change within the company and the industry.

The Pride network has grown over the years to become not just a place where LGBT+ employees and allies can meet and find support but an important advisory group helping Wood to develop policies and practices to be more inclusive of LGBT+.

Our aim is to continue making Wood an inclusive employer and to grow the network internally and with the Pride networks of our clients, partners and other companies. The network is a space for employees who identify as LGBT+ or as allies to the LGBT+ community where they can connect with and learn from each other.
