Part-time Opportunity: Digital Skills Trainer - Data Science
£26.14 - £31.48/hour (depending on experience)
This is a fixed term contract until 31 July 2024 (possible extension to 31 July 2025)
Start Date: Ideally 4 September 2023 but we could extend this to 11 September 2023
Candidates must be residing in the UK for this role
The Digital Skills Lab is seeking experienced trainers to deliver effective and engaging technical training to LSE students and staff both online and in person. Workshops are currently delivered online via Zoom and in person training will resume on campus in accordance with government guidelines. Each workshop will last between 1 to 3 hours and will have up to 16 participants. Trainers will be expected to work between 5 to 10 hours per week.
Successful candidates will have experience in delivering training in either Python, R, SPSS, Stata or NVivo and be able to re-purpose existing learning content to deliver short, high-quality training courses. Experience of any of the following technologies listed is also desirable:
Git/Github
LaTeX
Matlab
Machine Learning techniques
Database design and SQL
Web scraping
Text Analysis
