About the Role
CTR Group is seeking a PURCHASING ASSISTANT - CostPoint for an Industrial Government facility in Newport News, VA.
A Contract Position for a minimum of 2 Months.
Pay Rate: 30.00 per Hour.
SUMMARY:
Assist with the deobligation of funds on purchase orders by conducting research, coordinating with internal customers, vendors, and Procurement Officers, and preparing the required modifications.
Assist with procuring supplies and equipment using simplified acquisition and/or purchasing procedures
Ensure procurement actions are competitive to the maximum extent possible.
Manage vendor inquiries and receive quotes from vendors
Evaluate quotations and prepare documents for award
Monitor cost and funding status, and ensure sufficient funds are available for all actions
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
Experience with Maximo and/or Costpoint Software
Knowledgeable of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) in particular Simplified Acquisition Threshold (Procurements Ability to professionally and effectively interact with team members and internal and external customers
Demonstrated skill in the areas of analytical problem solving, customer service, decision making, and written/verbal communications
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite
