<p><strong>JOB SUMMARY</strong></p><p><strong>Location BSWH Medical Center College Station TX</strong></p><p><strong>Department Physical Therapy - Acute Care </strong></p><p><strong>Shift PRN Variable </strong></p><p><strong>Preferred Experience Must have PT certification with at least 2 years of acute care experience </strong></p><p>The Physical Therapist PRN provides care to patients through evaluation, treatment planning, treatment implementation, patient education and discharge planning to maximize the patient's functional level.</p><p style="font-family:Arial;">This is opportunity is for the College Station Hospital </p><p><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE</strong></p><ul><li>Evaluates, treats and monitors patient. Modifies therapy program and goals.</li><li>Performs thorough and concise clinical documentation in a timely manner. Enters charges accurately. Knows about reimbursement related to practice setting.</li><li>Communicates effectively with patients and families, departmental coworkers and members of the medical care team. Provides education to patients, family and staff.</li><li>Supervises ancillary staff, students and volunteers.</li><li>Advances clinical skills through ongoing education, literature review and implementation of evidence-based practice.</li><li>Imparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues. Adheres to organizational, national and state regulatory guidelines.</li><li>Maintains awareness of system goals.
