About the Role
About the role: We are looking for confident and adaptable Cover Supervisors to work across a group of secondary schools across south yrkshire – including places such as Rotherham, Sheffield, Barnsley, worksop, Pontefract and Doncaster. This flexible role starts in September 2026 and offers ad hoc supply work, allowing you to choose the days you are available each week. You will cover lessons in a range of subjects, ensuring continuity of learning while maintaining a positive classroom environment. Key Responsibilities: Supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain on task. Deliver pre-prepared work to pupils across a variety of subjects. Manage classroom behaviour confidently and consistently. Adapt quickly to different school environments and routines. Support the trust’s values by promoting a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere. Pre-requisites: Relevant qualifications or experience working with young people. Proven experience of supporting learning or managing groups of students. Strong knowledge of classroom expectations and behaviour management strategies. Two education or school-based references.
