About the Role
Opportunity for a qualified accountant to play a key role in managing the financial reporting, operations and financial governance within our rapidly expanding organisation.
Reporting to the Head of Finance, and managing a small team, you will be responsible for:
delivering timely and accurate financial and corporate performance information through a business partnering approach and budget management.
contributing to the formulation of corporate and business plans, and budget formulation.
leading and managing the production of the annual reports including liaising with a range of colleagues and wider stakeholders to ensure the appropriate disclosure and governance matters are fully complied with.
preparing the cash flow forecast and providing guidance on the placement of short-term deposits.
contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies and systems.
Key requirements include:
CCAB qualified
Significant and demonstrable experience in a similar role with a track record of delivering continuous improvement
Experience of leading and managing staff including ensuring high quality performance levels and staff development
Experience of producing businesses cases, costing services and option appraisal
Experience in business planning and risk management
Experience of working with ERP/Financial Systems
Understanding of the requirements of Managing Public Money, central government financial framework, accounting and reporting requirements is ideal, albeit not essential.
