CNC Setter / Operator – 3 & 4 Axis Milling Kirbymoorside – Permanent – Up to £21.42 per hour (including shift premium) Structured day-shift training followed by a 4-on-4-off day shift Castle Employment are recruiting a skilled CNC Setter/Operator to join a long-established precision engineering manufacturer in the Kirbymoorside area. This is a permanent role with clear training, modern machinery and strong earning potential. You will start on a Monday to Thursday day shift (10-hour days, 40 hours). Once trained, you will move to the 4-on-4-off day shift, earning up to £21.42 per hour including the shift premium. The CNC Setter/Operator RoleSet and operate 3- and 4-axis CNC milling machines Complete tooling adjustments, offsets and basic program edits Use Renishaw probing systems Work from engineering drawings to tight tolerances Maintain quality checks, scrap data and production records Manage tooling, cutter changes and machine setup Maintain consistent output and spindle time What We’re Looking ForTime-served CNC Setter/Operator Confident with Fanuc, Haas or similar controls Skilled in 3- and 4-axis milling Able to work independently and accurately from engineering drawings Strong focus on quality and reliable output Pay & ShiftsTraining rate: £17.30 per hour Post-probation: £17.92 per hour Shift premium: £35 per shift once moved to 4-on-4-off days Earning rate equivalent: up to £21.42 per hour Why Apply Through CastleYou’ll deal with a consultant who understands CNC machining and the technical detail of the role.
