Functieomschrijving

As the new Senior SHEQ Coordinator (Seveso Compliance), you’ll play a key role in ensuring compliance with Seveso and ARIE regulations. You’ll manage and support safety, health, environment, and quality (SHEQ) programs while collaborating closely with the Plant Manager, the local SHEQ Coordinator, and the European SHEQ Team. This is a pivotal role in fostering a strong safety culture and ensuring operations meet both regulatory and company standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with Seveso and ARIE regulatory frameworks
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for hazardous substances
• Manage safety reports and liaise with external consultants
• Integrate SHE practices into the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Develop, update, and communicate emergency response procedures
• Lead safety training programs and promote awareness across teams
• Conduct audits, incident investigations, and drive corrective actions
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, and sales on SHEQ-related matters
• Maintain active relationships with regulatory bodies and ensure ongoing compliance

Functie eisen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Safety Engineering, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a SHE role within an industrial setting — ideally with Seveso compliance
• Strong background in risk management, safety reporting, and ISO 9001 implementation
• In-depth knowledge of hazardous substance regulations and emergency planning
• Proficient in MS Office and relevant IT systems
• Fluency in Dutch and English — both written and spoken
• Strong communication skills for reporting, training, and cross-functional collaboration
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently under pressure
