Senior Infrastructure Engineer

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise infrastructure solutions across a diverse portfolio of clients. This role focuses on Windows Server, virtualization, hybrid cloud, storage, backup and disaster recovery, and SQL Server infrastructure in highly available and compliance-driven environments. This is a 100% remote position with up to 25% travel for client implementations and major infrastructure projects. Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and support enterprise Windows Server environments across physical and virtual infrastructure.Implement and administer virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and Proxmox.Design and support enterprise storage solutions including NetApp, Pure Storage, Nutanix, and VMware vSAN.Build and maintain hybrid cloud environments utilizing Microsoft Azure, Azure Government, and AWS.Implement and manage Veeam Backup & Replication solutions, disaster recovery planning, and recovery testing.Configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure, including installations, upgrades, patching, high availability, and backup strategies.Support infrastructure hosting ERP and line-of-business applications, including Epicor, Infor SyteLine (CSI), Sage, and other enterprise applications.Support Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops infrastructure, including virtualization hosts, storage, machine catalogs, and NetScaler integrations.Apply infrastructure hardening and security best practices aligned with NIST 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and SOC 2 requirements.Create and maintain technical documentation, implementation guides, and audit-ready infrastructure documentation.Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver enterprise infrastructure projects while adhering to established architecture standards.Required Qualifications6+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering experience.Strong experience with Windows Server administration and enterprise infrastructure.Hands-on experience with VMware vSphere, Microsoft Hyper-V, and/or Proxmox.Experience implementing enterprise storage technologies including SAN, HCI, and virtualization storage.Experience supporting hybrid cloud environments in Microsoft Azure and/or AWS.Strong experience with Veeam Backup & Replication and disaster recovery solutions.Experience supporting Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure, including high availability and disaster recovery.Familiarity with infrastructure supporting ERP systems such as Epicor, Infor SyteLine (CSI), Sage, or similar enterprise applications.Experience supporting Citrix infrastructure is a plus.Knowledge of security frameworks including NIST 800-171, CMMC Level 2, and SOC 2.Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.Ability to travel up to 25%.Preferred CertificationsMicrosoft Certified: Azure Administrator AssociateMicrosoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect ExpertVMware Certified Professional (VCP)Nutanix Certified Professional (NCP)Veeam Certified Engineer (VMCE)AWS Certified Solutions ArchitectMicrosoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
