About the Role

A permanent Business Development Executive role focused on expanding market presence across the UK and Europe within the subsea sector. Based in Aberdeen, this position supports growth across defence, oil & gas and marine renewable energy markets, combining strategic sales activity, client relationship management and technical understanding within complex subsea environments.

    

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a structured business development approach aligned with growth objectives across the UK and European subsea markets.
  • Identify and progress short, medium and long-term opportunities within existing accounts and new client organisations.
  • Build a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities through proactive networking, relationship-building and market engagement.
  • Maintain and develop long-term client relationships, ensuring a clear understanding of evolving technical and commercial requirements.
  • Present and promote subsea products and services to prospective customers, tailoring solutions to application-specific needs.
  • Manage sales opportunities through to close, coordinating with internal teams to ensure accurate technical input and commercial proposals.
  • Represent the business at industry events, exhibitions and conferences relevant to the subsea sector.
  • Capture and maintain accurate client, opportunity and interaction data within the CRM system.
  • Provide regular updates on sales activity, forecasts and market intelligence.
  • Travel throughout the UK and Europe in line with business and client requirements.

              

Applicants to this role require

  • Proven business development or sales experience within the subsea sector.
  • Technical exposure to subsea cables, connectors and interconnect solutions.
  • Strong understanding of subsea applications and harsh operating environments.
  • Results-driven mindset with the ability to deliver against targets.
  • An established network within subsea defence, oil & gas or marine renewable energy markets.
