About the Role
The Role
Forward Deployed Engineers at Adapt are the bridge between our platform and our customers' success. You'll work directly with customers to deploy Adapt, build custom integrations, solve complex technical problems, and turn feedback into product improvements.
This role is part engineer, part solutions architect, part customer whisperer. You'll ship code that matters, unblock customers in real-time, and shape the product roadmap based on what you learn in the field.

What You'll Do
Deploy and integrate Adapt into customer environments, connecting their tools, data sources, and workflows
Build custom solutions including integrations, automations, and extensions tailored to customer needs
Debug and resolve complex technical issues across distributed systems, APIs, and AI infrastructure
Partner with customers to understand their business, identify high-impact use cases, and drive adoption
Feed insights back to the product and engineering teams, influencing roadmap and priorities
Create technical content such as implementation guides, runbooks, and best practices documentation
Own outcomes, not just tasks. Customer success is your success.

What We're Looking For
3+ years of software engineering experience shipping production systems
Strong fundamentals in TypeScript/JavaScript, SQL, and working with APIs
Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to context-switch between deep technical work and customer conversations
Clear communicator who can explain complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bias for action. You ship, iterate, and learn. You don't wait for permission.
Customer obsession. You genuinely care about solving problems for people.
Experience with cloud infrastructure (GCP, AWS, Kubernetes) is a plus
Experience with data systems (data warehouses, ETL, analytics) is a plus
