Surveyor (Disrepair) - £400pd

Our client is a Local Authority in South London, very central and easy to access. They need to appoint a Disrepairs Surveyor to progress repairs on disrepair claims through to completion. You will be working on a portfolio across the Borough. You will review expert reports and disrepair letters of claim, carry out pre work surveys and use SOR codes to create job specifications for the works to be carried out by the Councils contractors and sub-contractors. Key day to day duties will include: provision of surveying services including the delivery of works and services programmes; undertaking physical pre-inspections of council stock in tenanted and communal locations; identification and accurate diagnosis of complex repairs for occupied and void properties. You will be managing a very busy caseload so you will need to be well organised and disciplined on your approach. We are looking for those with extensive experience operating in a similar role within a Local Authority or Housing Association. The day rate is £400 (umbrella). Given the scope of work there is potential for this role to extend significantly beyond the initial 3-6 month contract.
