EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | DETAILS AND COMPENSATION:
- Location: Sumter SC 29153 β 100% on-site
- Payrate: $22/hr
- Required Availability: Full-Time, 3rd Shift | Monday β Friday, Midnight β 8:00 AM
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | SUMMARY AND HIGHLIGHTS:
The Equipment Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring production standards are met by minimizing equipment downtime and maintaining product quality. You will set up, debug, and repair machinery while following strict safety and quality protocols.
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment and include health, optical, dental, life, and short-term disability insurance
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance (PM) to ensure machines operate within quality and quantity limits.
- Setup & Optimization: Set up and debug equipment according to specifications and departmental procedures.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues involving pneumatics, electrical systems, electronics, and hydraulics.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, legible equipment logs recording downtime, maintenance problems, and production data.
- Quality Control: Continually monitor in-process quality, perform Q.C. checks, and run process challenges to prevent product holds.
- Safety: Ensure all safety guards are functional and in position; maintain a neat and orderly work environment.
EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN | REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED (verifiable)
- Attendance: Commitment to mandatory attendance during the first 90 days
- Proven understanding of basic pneumatics, electrical, electronic, and hydraulic systems.
- Experience with the proper use of maintenance tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Must have clear and legible handwriting for documentation and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and engineering teams.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing maintenance or technician role is required
