ART DIRECTOR - EXPERIENTIAL AND EVENTS (REMOTE)

Compensation Range: $46 - 51 per hour
We are seeking a high-caliber Art Director specializing in experiential design to lead innovative strategies and visual concepts for a large portfolio of high-stakes corporate events and trade shows.
In this role, you won't just design spaces; you will craft end-to-end attendee journeys. You will guide creative execution across virtual and physical activations, working closely with multidisciplinary teams (graphic designers, motion designers, videographers, and content strategists) to turn complex business objectives into unforgettable experiences.
 
Responsibilities:

• Creative Leadership & Strategy: Drive creative briefs, ideation sessions, storyboards, and spatial layouts. Lead the visual direction from high-level concept through final execution.
• Stakeholder Influence: Articulate and defend bold creative concepts to internal partners and clients, aligning business strategy with experiential design.
• Team Mentorship: Coach, critique, and inspire a matrixed team of multi-disciplinary creatives in a fast-paced agency environment.
• Cross-Functional Execution: Oversee the development of cohesive visual content, ensuring seamless integration across signage, environmental graphics, and digital touchpoints.
• Portfolio Management: Simultaneously manage multiple event deliverables across diverse scales and formats.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 5+ years of dedicated art direction in experiential, event design, or live production environments.
• Technical Mastery: Advanced, non-negotiable proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud.
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent practical design experience).
• Core Competencies: Exceptional storytelling abilities, advanced problem-solving, diplomatic client-facing skills, and a strong track record of designing within established enterprise brand constraints.

Portfolio Requirements:
To be considered, your portfolio must demonstrate:

• Intentional Attendee Journeys: Clear evidence of how attendees experience and move through a physical or digital space, interact with the brand, and feel throughout the activation.
• Strategic Case Studies: Project breakdowns that detail the original client brief, the design concept, and the "why" behind your artistic choices.
• Immersive Environments: Multi-layered live or digital activations featuring contextual typography, spatial depth, and interactive touchpoints.
• Brand Synergy: An ability to innovate within corporate brand guidelines rather than reinventing them.
