CDL Class A Driver

Express Employment Professionals of Baton Rouge is currently seeking candidates for a CDL Class A Driver position with a local family-owned building supply company.

Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm (Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Salary: $20-$23.00/hour

Position Overview:

We are looking for a dependable and customer-focused CDL Class A Driver who is comfortable operating a tractor/trailer and working in both driving and warehouse environments. This role involves routine local deliveries throughout the Baton Rouge area, along with warehouse responsibilities. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, ensure timely deliveries, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a tractor/trailer for local deliveries

• Deliver building materials to customers in a timely and professional manner

• Provide outstanding customer service during deliveries

• Assist with warehouse duties when not on delivery routes

• Maintain delivery schedules and manage workload efficiently

• Ensure proper handling and secure transport of materials

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL License (Required)

• Previous tractor/trailer driving experience preferred

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to work both indoors (warehouse) and outdoors (delivery routes)

• Dependable with strong time management skills

Requirements:

• 10-Panel Drug Test required

• MVR Screening required

• Background Check preferred/required
