The role requires a hands-on manager who can strategize workflow, educate employees, manage priorities, address production challenges, and collaborate across departments to meet client needs.</p> <p>The ideal candidate will be diligent, detail-oriented, prioritize safety, and feel comfortable leading teams while also assisting in tasks when necessary. This position combines schedule planning, inventory management, quality documentation, process enhancement, staff mentoring, and communication with various departments including engineering, sales, suppliers, and internal teams.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p> <p>· Supervise and coordinate manufacturing staff to achieve production, quality, safety, and delivery objectives.</p> <p>· Plan daily tasks, create schedules, streamline workflow, assign activities, and adjust workforce or overtime depending on evolving business demands.</p> <p>· Collaborate with planning/material control teams to establish timelines and workloads for departments that align with client delivery dates.</p> <p>· Develop process strategies considering personnel, equipment, resources, materials, floor layout, and product flow.</p> <p>· Train new and existing team members, support cross-training efforts, lead departmental meetings, and develop clear work instructions and protocols.</p> <p>· Implement quality standards including inspection records, engineering modifications, ISO-related protocols, and improvements to products/processes.</p> <p>· Investigate and resolve challenges in production, customer service, quality control, materials management, and equipment in cooperation with staff, engineering, sales, suppliers, and other departments.</p> <p>· Maintain a secure work environment, conduct safety assessments, and ensure compliance with safety guidelines and protocols by employees.</p> <p>· Embrace Lean, 5S, ongoing improvement, efficiency, cost consciousness, and workforce adaptability within the assigned region.</p> <p>· Conduct interviews, hiring, training, coaching, performance evaluations, rewards, disciplinary actions, and resolution of staff concerns in line with company policies.</p> <p>Qualifications and Skills</p> <p>· Previous experience in manufacturing supervision is essential; experience managing 0-20 employees is highly desirable.</p> <p>· Experience in an ISO-certified quality setting is preferred.</p> <p>· Familiarity with safety compliance; OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is advantageous.</p> <p>· Experience with production scheduling, inventory planning, written guidelines, instructional materials, and addressing client product issues.</p> <p>· Proficiency in SAP is beneficial; proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and general office software is required.</p> <p>· Associate degree or technical education in industrial technology or related field is preferred, but equivalent practical experience may be considered.</p> <p>· Ability to understand safety regulations, operational instructions, maintenance guidelines, blueprints, schedules, and operational manuals.</p> <p>· Strong leadership, organizational, communication, decision-making, delegation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.</p> <p>Work Environment / Physical Requirements</p> <p>· Work on the second shift with extended evening coverage; schedule flexibility may be required to meet production demands.</p> <p>· Active factory setting with regular exposure to moving mechanical components and occasional exposure to heights, odors, weather conditions, electrical hazards, or vibrations.</p> <p>· Must be able to stand, walk, sit, reach, climb, maintain balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crawl, converse, and listen as required for leadership activities on the factory floor.</p> <p>· Must be capable of lifting up to 25 pounds regularly and heavier objects as necessary based on job requirements and safe work practices.</p> <p><strong>Equal Employment Opportunity / Safety Advisory:</strong> Applicants must be able to fulfill the essential duties of the role with or without reasonable adjustments and must comply with workplace safety, quality, and behavioral standards.</p> </div>
