Front End Developer

We are looking for a Front End Engineer based in Latin America to work on a long-term project for one of our clients, a software company based in Atlanta, Georgia.
Our client´s mission is to bring clinical-grade care to anyone, anywhere. They collaborate with leading clinicians and basic science researchers to develop and market devices and algorithms that improve access to multiple disease diagnoses and treatments.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and enhance frontend applications using React and related technologies.
- Implement and manage state management, with a primary focus on Recoil (preferred), Redux or Context API.
- Integrate RESTful APIs, ensuring secure and reliable data flows.
- Write testable, modular, and reusable components, adhering to “design for test” principles.
- Collaborate with backend developers, UX/UI designers, QA engineers, and product managers.
- Participate in code reviews and maintain high coding standards.
- Work within Agile workflows, leveraging tools such as JIRA for task tracking and GitHub for version control and collaboration.
- Contribute to documentation, development guidelines, and best practices.
- Engage in continuous integration and deployment pipelines to ensure rapid and reliable software delivery.
- Follow and contribute to a regulated software development lifecycle (SDLC), aligned with IEC 62304 or similar standards, ensuring compliance with medical device regulations.
Requirements
- Advanced Level of English.
- 5+ years of professional experience in frontend development with JavaScript/TypeScript.
- 4+ years of hands-on experience with React and its ecosystem.
- Hands-on expertise with Recoil (preferred), Redux, or Context API for state management.
- Solid understanding of RESTful API integration.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.).
- Familiarity with Agile development and tools like JIRA, GitHub, GitFlow.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team.
Bonus Points
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering or related fields.
- Experience working in a medical or regulated industry.
- Understanding of IEC 62304-compliant SDLC processes.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud environments.
- Familiarity with accessibility standards and performance optimization in React.
