About the Role
Catering Assistant <br><br>We are currently recruiting for a reliable and hardworking Catering Assistant to join our team at Heathrow Airport. This role is ideal for candidates with previous catering or hospitality experience who also hold a full UK manual driving licence, as driving duties form part of the position.<br>This is a role for people who enjoy variety, fresh air and friendly faces. You’ll spend most days working from a food truck on the airport tarmac, serving food and drinks to colleagues and meeting a wide variety of team members from across the airport. You will build great connections, and enjoy working outdoors when you’re right at the heart of the action.<br><br>What We Offer<br><br>• £13.50 per hour arising to <br>• £14.60 per hour after 12 weeks<br>• Weekly pay<br>• Free meal provided during shifts<br>• Rotating shift patterns (2 earlies, 2 lates and 2 off): <br>o 05:00 – 14:30<br>o 13:00 – 22:30<br><br>Key Responsibilities:<br><br>• Assisting with food preparation and general kitchen duties<br>• Loading, unloading, and transporting catering supplies across Heathrow Airport sites<br>• Driving company vehicles when required – a full UK manual driving licence is essential<br>• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness<br>• Supporting chefs and kitchen teams during busy service periods<br>• Following all health & safety and airport security procedures<br><br>Requirements:<br><br>• Previous experience within catering, hospitality, food production, or kitchen environments preferred<br>• Must hold a valid full UK manual driving licence<br>• Comfortable driving manual vehicles as part of daily duties<br>• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and as part of a team<br>• Flexible approach to shifts, including weekends and early starts<br>• Must be able to pass airport security clearance and background checks<br><br>We welcome applications from candidates with experience as: <br>Catering Assistant, Kitchen Assistant, Food Production Operative, Hospitality Assistant, Kitchen Porter, Driver/Catering Assistant, General Assistant, or similar catering-based roles.<br><br>Please contact Mandi Mann at Aviation Recruitment on 01332 819880
