About the role:
Justteachers is delighted to be working with a friendly and supportive primary school seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Year 4 Teacher to join their team from September 2026 to cover a period of maternity leave.
This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate teacher to take responsibility for a well-established Year 4 class, delivering engaging lessons and helping pupils achieve their full potential. The school is looking for a committed practitioner who can quickly build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents while maintaining high standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 curriculum.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports all learners.
- Assess, monitor, and track pupil progress, adapting teaching strategies where required.
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils, including those requiring additional support.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively and promote positive attitudes towards learning.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, colleagues, and senior leaders.
- Attend staff meetings, parents’ evenings, and other school events as required.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school community.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Experience teaching within a primary school setting, preferably Key Stage 2.
- Strong knowledge of the Year 4 curriculum and assessment expectations.
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills.
- The ability to deliver creative and engaging lessons that inspire pupils.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
- ECTs and experienced teachers are both encouraged to apply.
