Opening for a Part-time Finance Manager to join a local family-owned business. Managing the day-to-day accounting function and a small team. Successful applicants will ideally have worked previously in an SME and will be either professionally qualified or qualified by experience with strong systems experience.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining budgets, forecasts and P&L to support day to day operations.
- Preparing accurate and timely financial reports including monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
- Cashflow management, forecasting and reporting.
- Financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations.
- Preparation of year end accounts.
- Stock control/inventory management.
- Liaising with banks, auditors, insurance providers and external accountants.
- VAT returns.
- Developing systems and procedures, continuous improvements.
- Managing and mentoring finance team.
Applicants to this role require
- Previous experience in a similar role within an SME.
- Professionally qualified or qualified by experience.
- Strong communication skills.
- Keen interest and experience in delivering process improvements and efficiencies.
