About the role:
justteachers is recruiting an enthusiastic English Teacher for a thriving secondary school in Rugby, with the role commencing in September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to inspire students through engaging English lessons, helping them develop strong literacy skills and a love of literature and language.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (Key Stage 5 experience desirable).
- Plan, prepare, and assess lessons in line with the national curriculum.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils in achieving their academic potential.
- Participate in departmental meetings, school events, and parents’ evenings.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching English within a secondary school.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to raising student achievement.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
