Why This Role Is Right for You
As a Head of Customer Due Dilligence, you’ll join a collaborative and forward-thinking team based in Rzeszów/ Poznań/ Warszawa. 
Responsible for overseeing customer compliance (KYC/AML), managing relationships with supervisory authorities and auditors, as well as ensuring effective risk and incident management.
This role is critical to the organization’s operational security, regulatory compliance, and transparent reporting to the Management Board and senior leadership, operating in a highly dynamic and evolving regulatory environment.
About Your Future Role
In this position, you will:

  • Operational management of the Client Compliance Department
  • Oversight of KYC/AML risk identification, assessment and management processes, including customer onboarding (CDD/EDD) and periodic reviews (ODD)
  • Supervision of approval workflows and customer documentation archiving processes (both physical and digital)
  • Monitoring regulatory changes (AML, sanctions, due diligence) and co-leading their effective implementation within operational processes
  • Regular reporting of key risk indicators and compliance metrics to the Management Board within the 3 Lines of Defense (3LoD) framework, including strategic recommendations
  • Close cooperation with other departments within Operations, as well as Sales, Marketing and IT divisions, and Compliance and Legal teams
  • Management of regulatory and operational incidents, including root cause analysis and recommendation and implementation of remedial actions
  • Creation, development and maintenance of policies and procedures ensuring the effective functioning of the Department
  • Ownership of the departmental budget, process optimization and initiation of automation initiatives (RPA/AI)
  • Responsibility for relationships with internal and external auditors, including preparation for inspections and audits
  • Development of departmental competencies and strengthening of a strong compliance culture across the organization

Essential Qualifications: 

  • Several years of experience in a managerial or director-level role within operational KYC/AML management
  • Proven experience in managing expert teams (minimum 30 FTEs) in a distributed or multi-location structure
  • In-depth knowledge of AML regulations, international sanctions, payment scheme guidelines and due diligence processes
  • Documented experience in cooperation with regulators and internal/external auditors
  • Ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated environment (finance, fintech, banking, payments)
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills, including effective workforce and productivity management (WFM)
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to lead organizations through change
  • Very good command of English (minimum B2+), enabling work in an international environment
  • Willingness to travel for business purposes (approx. 5–8 days per month)
  • University degree


Bonus Skills: 

•    Experience in payment institutions, fintech companies, or financial institutions
•    Participation in transformation, automation, or centralization projects related to KYC/AML processes
•    Experience in group-level management reporting
