<p><strong>Global Nonprofit</strong></p> <p><strong>Controller | $160K–$185K + Bonus</strong></p> <p><strong>Location: Arlington, VA</strong></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Role Overview</strong></p> <ul> <li>Seeking a seasoned Controller to lead global accounting operations for a well-established, mission-driven organization with an international footprint.</li> <li>This is a highly visible leadership role partnering closely with the CFO to strengthen financial operations, modernize systems, and support a growing global organization.</li> <li>In this role, you will:</li> <li>Oversee global accounting operations including month-end close, financial reporting, AP/AR, payroll oversight, grants accounting, and audit coordination</li> <li>Ensure accurate GAAP-compliant financial reporting and maintain strong internal controls across a multi-entity environment</li> <li>Partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership to provide financial insights, operational support, and strategic guidance</li> <li>Lead improvements to financial systems, including continued development and optimization of the ERP platform</li> <li>Coordinate annual financial statement audits and manage relationships with external auditors and advisors</li> <li>Oversee grant and program accounting to ensure expenditures align with funding requirements and program budgets</li> <li>Develop and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and financial processes across the organization</li> <li>Manage and mentor accounting and finance staff while helping build scalable systems and processes</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p> <ul> <li>CPA required</li> <li>8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles</li> <li>Controller or Assistant Controller experience preferred</li> <li>Nonprofit accounting experience, including grants accounting</li> <li>Experience managing financial statement audits and working with external auditors</li> <li>NetSuite or Intacct or comparable ERP experience</li> <li>Ability to work cross-functionally and support global or multi-entity operations</li> <li>Strong communicator who thrives in collaborative, mission-driven environments</li> </ul> IND4
