After-School Nanny – Carshalton, Sutton (Southwest London) Starting in March

A warm and welcoming family in Carshalton is seeking a reliable, nurturing, and proactive after-school nanny to become a valued, long-term part of their household.The family has two children, as well as their young cousin, and are looking for someone patient, understanding, and confident in supporting a child with mild additional needs. A calm, emotionally intelligent approach is essential, along with flexibility and reliability.

Schedule

Current requirements

Monday: 7.30am - 5.15pm = 10hrs 15 mins 

Thursday: 9.45am - 4.45pm 7 hours 

Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm = 8 hours 

Requirements from September 

Monday: 7.30am - 5.15pm = 10hrs 15 mins

Tuesday: 2.5 hours

Wednesday: 2.5 hours

Thursday: 5 hours 

Friday: 8:00am - 4:00pm = 8 hours 

Additional support may be required during school holidays, and flexibility on hours will be appreciated for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• School pick-up and after-school care
• Engaging the children in age-appropriate activities
• Supporting routines and providing a structured, nurturing environment
• Light meal preparation (desirable but not essential)
• Washing up after meals or snacks

The family has a cat and employs a regular cleaner.

The ideal candidate will be dependable, flexible, and genuinely invested in building a long-term relationship with the family. Someone who brings warmth, maturity, and stability, and who enjoys being part of a supportive and appreciative household.

Compensation

£20–£25 gross per hour, depending on experience
