Skills & Experience Required:
Proven experience working in a similar ship agency role or a comparable position within the shipping and logistics industry
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to deliver best-in-class customer service
A quick learner with the ability to prioritise workload, meet tight deadlines, and maintain focus
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and resolve complex and unexpected situations
Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages
Full UK Driving License
Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will need to be flexible and willing to work outside of standard working hours, including weekends, nights, and bank holidays, to meet business needs.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee and organise vessel arrivals and departures
Communicate effectively with ship masters, port authorities, customs officials, and clients
Prepare, process, and manage all required shipping and customs documentation
Track vessel schedules and provide timely updates to clients
Ensure adherence to port regulations, legal requirements, and safety standards
Maintain accurate and up-to-date operational records
