<p data-start="66" data-end="226">Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading development company in their search for a <strong data-start="168" data-end="193">Graduate Town Planner</strong> to join their team in Leicester.</p>
<p data-start="228" data-end="577">This is an excellent opportunity for a <strong data-start="267" data-end="292">Graduate Town Planner</strong> to begin their career within a developer environment, gaining exposure to residential-led schemes and the full lifecycle of planning projects. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable insight into both planning strategy and delivery.</p>

<p data-start="584" data-end="596"><strong data-start="584" data-end="596">THE ROLE</strong></p>
<p data-start="598" data-end="733">As a Graduate Town Planner, you will support the planning team in delivering projects from land promotion through to planning approval.</p>
<p data-start="735" data-end="939">You will gain hands-on experience across site appraisals, planning submissions, and stakeholder engagement, developing your career as a <strong data-start="871" data-end="896">Graduate Town Planner</strong> within a commercially focused environment.</p>

<p data-start="946" data-end="970"><strong data-start="946" data-end="970">KEY RESPONSIBILITIES</strong></p>
<p data-start="972" data-end="1481">* Assisting with site appraisals and development feasibility assessments<br data-start="1044" data-end="1047" /> * Supporting the preparation and submission of planning applications<br data-start="1115" data-end="1118" /> * Preparing planning statements and supporting documentation<br data-start="1178" data-end="1181" /> * Conducting planning policy research and analysis<br data-start="1231" data-end="1234" /> * Liaising with Local Planning Authorities and external consultants<br data-start="1301" data-end="1304" /> * Supporting land promotion and strategic planning activities<br data-start="1365" data-end="1368" /> * Attending meetings, site visits, and consultations<br data-start="1420" data-end="1423" /> * Assisting with project coordination and administration</p>

<p data-start="1488" data-end="1514"><strong data-start="1488" data-end="1514">WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR</strong></p>
<p data-start="1516" data-end="1914">* RTPI accredited degree in Town Planning or related discipline<br data-start="1579" data-end="1582" /> * Strong academic background<br data-start="1610" data-end="1613" /> * Ideally some experience within planning (placement, internship, or similar)<br data-start="1690" data-end="1693" /> * Keen interest in residential development and land promotion<br data-start="1754" data-end="1757" /> * Working towards MRTPI or motivated to begin the process<br data-start="1814" data-end="1817" /> * Strong communication and organisational skills<br data-start="1865" data-end="1868" /> * A proactive and commercially aware mindset</p>
