An exciting opportunity has become available to join aviation company with Polish team based in Gdańsk as a Senior Software Engineer. The company develops and produces avionics and electronics systems designed for use on aircraft and other platforms.
Position Responsibilities:
- Utilizing modern computer programming techniques, tools, languages and agile software development methodologies to build software for delivered systems
- Performing engineering activities including software detailed design, development, integration and testing
- Proactively contributing to project execution plan to set and effectively achieve operational goals
- Influencing, innovating and continuously improving the software engineering process as well as quality, safety and reliability of products and services
- Collaborating proactively with customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports to understand operational and performance expectations
- Cultivating a positive staff culture, team motivation
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5+ years of professional experience
- English proficiency
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Willingness to learn and work with new technologies
- Demonstrated design and system thinking skills
- Proficiency in Python
- Experience in one other high-level modern programming language (Java, React)
- Experience in AWS VMware Tanzu suite
- Experience with ETL processes and tools
- Experience with relational database (PostgreSQL)
- Experience in developing web services (REST, gRPC, etc.)
- Experience in containerization (Docker etc.)
- Experience in frontend development
- Experience in software development for avionics systems or complex electronics products
- Collaborating in international and multi-national projects
