We are looking for a Principal Workforce Development Product Engineer to define the technical requirements, structure, and product model for Arm’s technical Workforce Development products and programs. The Workforce Development team is a new function focused on building structured products that develop AI and semiconductor capability on Arm technologies. These products may include technical learning pathways, labs, practical activities, project-based learning, instructor enablement, and partner-delivered program models. This role combines deep Arm engineering knowledge with the ability to shape practical workforce development products from technical source materials, stakeholder input, and market needs. As part of a new function, the role requires strong technical judgment, comfort with ambiguity, and a practical, hands-on approach. Responsibilities Define technical requirements for Arm’s Workforce Development products and programs Gather and clarify requirements from engineering teams, technical specialists, delivery teams, partners, and internal stakeholders Translate requirements into clear product structures, learning outcomes, practical activities, delivery assumptions, and acceptance criteria Shape coherent Workforce Development products from technical source materials, labs, applied exercises, and project-based learning Define target audience, prerequisites, technical level, scope, standard inclusions, exclusions, variants, and add-ons for each product Provide technical judgment on what is credible, deliverable, reusable, and aligned to Arm technologies Specify requirements for new or adapted materials, labs, practical activities, instructor resources, and project-based learning, whether produced internally or commissioned externally Review internally or externally produced materials against agreed technical requirements, acceptance criteria, and product intent Work with technical enablement engineers to ensure products can be delivered consistently in real settings Maintain product requirements, package definitions, technical documentation, and roadmap inputs Assess bespoke requests and determine whether they fit an existing product, require a standard variant, or need separate funded development Help create structure, standards, and repeatable ways of working as the Workforce Development function grows Required Skills and Experience Strong engineering background with deep understanding of Arm technologies, systems, embedded, SoC, AI/ML, software enablement, or related technical domains Experience in technical product ownership, technical enablement, applications engineering, developer enablement, technical learning design, or similar roles Ability to gather precise requirements and turn them into clear technical product definitions Strong judgment on technical scope, sequencing, prerequisites, learner level, delivery feasibility, and reuse potential Experience shaping or specifying technical learning pathways, labs, workshops, enablement programs, or practical learning experiences Ability to work across engineering, technical content, enablement, delivery, and partner teams Strong written communication skills, with the ability to produce clear requirements, package definitions, and technical product documentation Comfortable operating in a developing function where priorities, processes, and product definitions are still evolving Ability to create structure from ambiguity and make progress with incomplete information Engineering degree or equivalent technical experience Nice To Have Skills and Experience Experience building new technical workforce development products, enablement programs, or structured technical offers from early-stage requirements Experience commissioning or reviewing technical materials produced by internal teams, contractors, or external partners Familiarity with AI, embedded systems, semiconductor design, computer architecture, or Arm-based development environments Experience defining practical labs, applied projects, instructor resources, or hands-on technical learning activities Experience working with distributed delivery models, partner delivery, or train-the-trainer approaches Location and Travel This is a global role supporting Workforce Development products and programs across multiple markets. Some international travel may be required depending on business need, product development activity, partner engagement, and program deployment. In Return You will play a central role in turning Arm technical expertise and source materials into structured Workforce Development products. Your work will define what the team builds, what can be delivered, and how Workforce Development products can scale consistently over time.
