Warehouse and Logistics Manager Job
Greycoat Lumleys is currently recruiting for a luxury catering and events company delivering high-end experiences across prestigious venues in London. We are seeking a proactive, hands-on Warehouse Manager to take ownership of warehouse operations and ensure seamless logistics across all events. This is a key role within a close-knit team, combining operational oversight with a practical, front-line approach.
You will act as the central link between Warehouse, Kitchen, and Office teams, maintaining exceptional standards of organisation, efficiency, and service.
The Role
Warehouse Operations & Logistics
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including packing, dispatch, and returns
- Manage delivery schedules and routing to ensure efficient logistics
- Support and participate in deliveries, collections, and event setups
- Assist with out-of-hours logistics when required
Inventory & Stock Management
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records (Google Sheets / Excel)
- Conduct regular stock checks to prevent shortages or discrepancies
- Monitor equipment condition and arrange repairs or replacements
- Source cost-effective supplies and maintain pricing records
- Manage supplier communications, including returns and hired equipment
Team Leadership
- Lead, train, and supervise warehouse staff
- Provide clear direction and ongoing performance support
- Forecast staffing needs and coordinate additional resource during busy periods
- Conduct regular performance reviews
Health, Safety & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with all health & safety and fire safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Oversee PAT testing for all relevant equipment
Fleet & Equipment Management
- Manage company vehicles, including servicing, MOTs, and maintenance
- Ensure safe handling and transportation of all equipment
Cross-Team Coordination
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth event operations
- Communicate event-related returns, losses, and additional requirements clearly
Process Improvement
- Identify and implement improvements to warehouse systems and workflows
- Continuously optimise efficiency and operational performance
Candidate Profile
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in warehouse and logistics operations
(events, hospitality, or catering experience preferred)
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Proficient in Google Sheets or Excel
- Good understanding of warehouse health & safety practices
