<p>Are you passionate about delivering high-quality housing services and ensuring compliance with legislation and best practices? We are looking for a Technical Contracts Officer to join our Property Services team.</p>
<p><b>What you’ll do:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Assist in the procurement of contracts for capital works, compliance, and small site-specific projects.</li>
<li>Ensure contractor competency checks and compliance with health and safety standards.</li>
<li>Contribute to the preparation of specifications, schedules of work, and tender documentation.</li>
<li>Oversee planned and cyclical maintenance contracts for the Council’s housing stock.</li>
<li>Monitor and evaluate social value commitments made by contractors, ensuring delivery against agreed targets.</li>
<li>Track and report on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all contracts to ensure quality, compliance, and value for money.</li>
<li>Support managers with reporting, risk management, and continuous improvement initiatives.</li>
<li>Contribute to digital transformation and customer-focused service delivery.</li>
</ul>
<p><b>What we’re looking for:</b></p>
<ul>
<li>Demonstrated experience in preparing specifications and procuring maintenance contracts.</li>
<li>Knowledge of building construction, energy regulations, and health and safety legislation.</li>
<li>Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work with building-related data.</li>
<li>This role involves regular travel across a wide rural district, with multiple site visits on a regular basis, so the ability to independently and reliably travel as part of your daily duties is essential.</li>
