Skilled Gardener £26,722 | Full-Time | Permanent Harrogate (Mobile Role) | Van Provided | 35 Days Holiday An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Skilled Gardener to join a long‑established organisation responsible for maintaining a network of important outdoor sites across the UK. With over a century of history, this organisation operates as a non‑profit, delivering high horticultural standards across multiple landscapes and green spaces. The work is meaningful, steady, and offers the chance to be part of a supportive, purpose‑driven team. The role is based in the Harrogate area and will involve travelling between sites as part of a mobile gardening team. Personality, professionalism, and a genuine passion for horticulture are key. Key Responsibilities Carry out a range of routine and seasonal horticultural tasks across multiple outdoor sites Maintain lawns, hedges, borders, and planted areas to a high standard Use and care for horticultural machinery and tools safely Support general landscape upkeep including mowing, pruning, weeding, and edging Work independently and as part of a small local team Contribute to the consistent presentation and care of each site What We're Looking For Strong plant knowledge and good overall horticultural understanding Minimum of RHS Level 2 or similar qualification (or working toward it) Experience in grounds maintenance or gardening is beneficial Full UK driving licence (essential for the mobile nature of the role) PA1/PA6 certification is desirable, but training can be provided A friendly, reliable, and positive individual who enjoys outdoor work What's on Offer £26,722 annual salary (non‑negotiable) 35 days annual leave Company van, uniform, PPE, and all gardening equipment provided A stable, supportive working environment with long-term staff The opportunity to work in a unique role with meaningful, high‑quality horticultural work This is a fantastic opportunity for a gardener who enjoys variety, independence, and working outdoors throughout the year.
