About the Role

Environmental Waste Manager - Ipswich, Suffolk The Role: As subject matter expert in Environmental Waste Management of our multi disciplinary facilities management team, working with customers and waste management companies across the UK. Working with customers and key suppliers to ensure the services are delivered within contractual and statutory agreements. The Environmental Waste Manager will be responsible for supporting our customer first helpdesk team manage requests for service from customers by liaising with our procurement team and suppliers through our brokerage service. Main responsibilities for the Environmental Waste Manager:To support the customer first helpdesk team provide solutions through our valued supply chain partners.Work closely with procurement, operational heads of service and customers to continually improve the service which is being provided.Continuously review working with our supply chain partners and our ISO14001 compliance.Ongoing development of internal systems and processesEmbedding process changes across the team to ensure sustainability as we continue to grow.Manage escalations of service issues effectively supporting colleagues and customers through our continuous improvement processes.Supporting colleagues with adherence to deadlines and compliance requirements in respect of waste management and compliance notices, working closely with the team to ensure these are met. The Environmental Waste Manager will have the following behaviours:Passionate about sustainable practices in waste management and delivering a high level of customer service.Enjoys coaching and inspiring team members and customers on effective sustainability targets.Is naturally logically, organised and thorough with a keen eye for attention to detail in respect of compliance.Comfortable meeting new people, working with partners in face to face, telephone and online meetings.Confident in talking with others and presenting to new customers sharing your passion of waste management and promoting our brand and the value the service brings. The Environmental Waste Manager will have the following skills:Experienced environmental waste management professional, ideally having worked within a brokerage serviceCIWM (WAMITAB) Level 4 Certificate in Waste and Resource Management or equivalent qualificationManaged others and lead a fast paced and busy teamProven track record of effective delegationGreat communication skills, both written and verbalSelf-starter who is highly organisedCommitment to personal development and growth Your Package: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum, Dependent on Experience.
