Electrician
Salary: Up to £34,000 + 22% Shift Allowance
Location: Birmingham (Static)
Hours: 2 days on (7am-7pm) then 2 nights on (7pm-7am) then 4 days off
Role Overview
We are seeking a qualified
Electrician to join our facilities team within a busy acute hospital environment. The
Electrician will deliver planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, testing, and minor installation works across electrical and associated mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
The
Electrician will:
- Carry out PPM, reactive maintenance, testing, and fault diagnosis.
- Undertake repairs and small installation works independently.
- Interpret drawings and specifications relevant to the Electrician trade.
- Work safely at height and within confined spaces (following training).
- Ensure all works meet KPIs, statutory regulations, and Health & Safety standards.
- Record works accurately using a CAFM system (e.g. Maximo).
- Identify and report defects, delays, or risks to the Supervisor.
- Support continuous improvement and share technical knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements
The successful
Electrician must hold:
- Approved Electrical Installation apprenticeship
- Level 3 NVQ (EAL or C&G 2357)
- AM2
- 18th Edition (C&G 2382-18)
- C&G 2391-50 Initial Verification
- HTM-06 Competent Person (LV)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Experience working in a healthcare environment is desirable.
This
Electrician role is subject to a DBS Standard check.
