Shop Assistant – Penrith – Nights

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Hours: 4 on, 4 off – 10pm to 6am
Salary: £13.15 per hour
Location: Penrith

NXT Recruitment are working with a trusted family-run business to find a Night Shift Shop Assistant for their Penrith location.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys the quieter hours, thrives with structure, and is confident working independently.

Responsibilities include:

• Cleaning and maintaining the forecourt and shop overnight
• Carrying out Costa coffee machine cleaning
• Logging fridge and food temperatures accurately
• Restocking shelves ready for the next day
• Filling the cigarette unit before the end of your shift
• Sorting and tidying the printed media section
• Managing cardboard and general waste disposal
  

What you’ll need:

• Reliable, self-motivated and comfortable working alone
• Excellent attention to detail
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Experience in customer service or retail preferred
• A driving licence is desirable but not essential if based locally
