About the role:
Justteachers is recruiting a caring and enthusiastic SEN Support Assistant for a specialist SEN school in Stratford-upon-Avon. Working with pupils in Early Years and Key Stage 1, this full-time role begins in September 2026 and continues until the Christmas break, offering a rewarding opportunity to support children during their early educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils with Autism, speech and language needs and other additional learning needs.
- Deliver one-to-one and small group interventions.
- Encourage communication, social interaction and independence.
- Assist with classroom routines and sensory activities.
- Support pupils with personal care where required.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.
Pre-requisites:
- Experience working with children with SEN or in a childcare/education setting is desirable.
- Compassionate, positive and proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to remain calm and flexible in a busy environment.
- Commitment to safeguarding and supporting children’s wellbeing.
- Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential.
