About the Role

Job Title: Audio Electronics Test & QC Technician

We’re seeking a detail-driven Audio Electronics Test & QC Technician to join our production team. If you have a strong background in electronics and a sharp ear for audio quality, this role is for you.

Location: North Longmont, CO

Pay: $26-30/hr

Schedule: Mon – Fri 8am-4:30pm

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform functional and parametric testing of analog and digital audio circuit assemblies using industry-standard test equipment
  • Conduct critical listening evaluations to identify noise, distortion, tonal anomalies, channel imbalance, and other audible defects in audio signal paths
  • Operate and interpret results from instruments including Audio Precision analyzers, oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose failures at the board and component level; perform rework, repair, and recalibration to bring assemblies within specification
  • Document test results, failure modes, and corrective actions accurately and thoroughly in production records and test logs
  • Maintain calibration records and flag out-of-tolerance test equipment for recalibration
  • Perform final QC inspection prior to product packaging, including cosmetic and functional checks
  • Support production assembly operations as needed, including soldering, component placement, and mechanical assembly
  • Communicate clearly with engineering and production staff regarding recurring failures, yield trends, or spec ambiguities
  • Follow established work instructions, test procedures, and safety protocols; contribute to their improvement when gaps are identified

 What You Bring:

  • 2+ years in electronics testing or production
  • Experience with professional or consumer audio equipment
  • Ability to read schematics and troubleshoot circuits
  • Strong soldering skills (SMD + through-hole)
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving mindset

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with studio-grade audio gear (mic preamps, DI boxes, etc.)
  • Familiarity with ERP or production tracking systems
