English Lecturers - Castleford - September 2026

About the role:

We are seeking passionate and inspiring English Lecturers to join our team in Castleford from September 2026. Available on either a part-time or full-time basis, these roles offer the opportunity to make a real difference to learners studying GCSE English and help them develop the skills and confidence needed for future success.

Beyond the Castleford campus, there may also be opportunities to work across our wider college network, providing exposure to different learner groups and exciting opportunities for professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective GCSE English lessons to learners with a range of abilities.
• Motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
• Plan, prepare and assess learning in line with curriculum requirements.
• Monitor learner progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
• Support learner achievement, retention and progression.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to create an outstanding learning experience.

Pre-requisites:

• A degree or recognised qualification in English, English Language, English Literature or a related subject.
• Previous experience teaching English within Further Education is highly desirable.
• Applications from experienced Secondary School English Teachers are also strongly encouraged and will be seriously considered.
• A genuine passion for teaching and supporting learner success.
• Excellent communication, organisational and classroom management skills.
• A teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one) is desirable.
