Mental Health Support Assistant – Specialist School (Farnborough)
Not every student thrives in a mainstream classroom — and that’s where you come in.
We’re working with a specialist setting in Farnborough supporting pupils across primary and secondary ages with SEMH needs, and they’re looking for a Mental Health Support Assistant to join them ASAP.
This is a hands-on role supporting students who may struggle with emotional regulation, behaviour, or engagement in learning.
What you’ll be doing:
Supporting students 1:1 and in small groups
Helping de-escalate challenging situations
Building trust and consistency with pupils
Supporting access to education in a way that works for them
What’s on offer:
£93 per day
Full-time, long-term (temp to perm after 12 weeks)
Immediate start
A genuinely supportive and experienced team
You’ll need:
A calm, resilient approach
Experience with SEND, SEMH, youth work or care (ideal)
A genuine interest in mental health
Essential:
DBS on the Update Service
Up-to-date safeguarding
