About the Role
<p><strong>Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a mid‑market organization in the DMV area to identify a Payroll Manager for a hybrid role.</strong> This position supports a stable payroll environment and works closely with Accounting and HR leadership.</p>
<p><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Manage bi‑weekly payroll processing for a mid‑sized employee population</li>
<li>Oversee payroll compliance, reconciliations, and reporting</li>
<li>Serve as the primary payroll contact for employee inquiries</li>
<li>Partner with Accounting on payroll entries and month‑end close</li>
<li>Support benefits administration and timekeeping processes</li>
<li>Maintain payroll systems and vendor relationships</li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Qualifications</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>5+ years of payroll experience</li>
<li>Experience with payroll systems outside of Workday (construction or mid‑market ERP a plus)</li>
<li>Knowledge of multi‑state payroll and compliance</li>
<li>Strong attention to detail and communication skills</li>
<li>Ability to work in a hybrid environment (4 days on‑site)</li>
