About the Role
Overview An established and growing DB pensions business is seeking a technically strong actuarial professional to focus on the development, testing, and optimisation of member calculation tools.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys building and improving models/processes, rather than purely performing calculations.
Key responsibilities
Develop and enhance DB member option calculation tools
Perform testing, validation, and UAT to ensure accuracy of automated calculations
Collaborate with pricing, proposition, and operations teams
Translate calculation requirements into scalable solutions
Support continuous improvement of systems and data processes
Requirements
3+ years' experience in DB pensions (consultancy or life insurance)
Strong understanding of DB calculations and actuarial concepts
Experience or interest in model/tool development
Part/qualified actuary (or strong non-qualified candidate with relevant experience)
Strong Excel skills; coding experience advantageous
