About the Role
Quality Assurance Specialist - Hydro Construction Projects (USA) We are supporting a major hydro power delivery partner in expanding their site quality team across multiple US construction projects. Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, we are seeking experienced Quality Assurance professionals to oversee quality compliance during complex hydro construction and installation activities. This is a site-based role where you will act as a key authority on quality standards, ensuring that all construction, mechanical, and electrical installation work meets contractual specifications, engineering requirements, and applicable codes. You will work closely with construction managers, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and client representatives to maintain high standards throughout the project lifecycle. Key responsibilities: * Develop, implement, and maintain Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) aligned with project specifications * Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with quality procedures and technical standards * Oversee welding activities, NDT processes, and material traceability requirements * Perform inspections on mechanical and electrical installations, including dimensional and alignment checks * Manage quality documentation, reports, and audit trails * Support internal and external audits, client inspections, and regulatory reviews * Identify non-conformances, drive corrective actions, and track close-out activities * Promote continuous improvement and best practice quality culture across site teams Ideal candidates will have: * Demonstrated QA/QC experience on hydro power, energy, or heavy industrial construction projects * Strong knowledge of industry standards, codes, and inspection procedures * Familiarity with welding inspections and NDT coordination * Experience preparing and managing quality documentation systems * Ability to interface effectively with contractors, engineers, and client stakeholders * Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills * Willingness to work in a dynamic, site-driven project environment Desirable qualifications: * QA/QC certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, CWI, or equivalent) * Experience supporting commissioning or turnover documentation * Exposure to large-scale infrastructure or rotating equipment installation This is an excellent opportunity to join technically challenging hydro projects with long-term visibility, competitive compensation, and the chance to contribute to high-profile infrastructure delivery.
