Quality Control Inspector

If you are looking for growth in your career and wanting to work on some big, exciting projects apply now.  Responsibilities:  Check conformance of assemblies throughout fabrication process Confirm the correct drawing revisions are on the shop floor  Verify assemblies are correct grade and are code compliant  Check visual quality of welds Confirm welding machines are within required parameters Coordinate inspection with outside testing agencies Record findings via piece mark QA trackers on MFC Tracker Work with Foreman on project prioritization Job site trips and inspections of subcontracted work at other fab shops Qualifications: Firm understanding of the following codes: AISC Code of Standard Practices ASTM A6 AWS D1.1 Firm understanding of project specifications, shop and contract drawings, Proficient knowledge of the following: WPS PQR WQR  Ability to read tape measures and welding gages Good communication skills to convey non-conformance and method of action  Minimum 3 years’ experience fitting and welding  Vision or corrected vision must be adequate for the work (optical exams required every 3 years) Welds must be inspected by CWI’s Wage: $30-$35/hr DOE Schedule: Monday -Thursday 3:00PM-1:30AM Why Choose Atlas Staffing?  Atlas Staffing is an employment agency that offers great benefits for our temporary and temp-to-hire staffing associates.
