Job Description


MagellanCx is hiring an entry-level QA Tester to support manual testing of the MagellanCxplatform. This role is responsible for executing test cases, finding and documenting defects,validating bug fixes, and helping ensure the platform works reliably across core userjourneys.
The QA Tester will work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to understand requirements and verify that new features and updates perform as expected. The role is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, curious, organized, and motivated to build a career in software quality assurance.

   

Key Responsibilities


  • Perform manual testing of web-based platform features and work
  • Execute test cases and document results clearly and accurately.
  • Identify, reproduce, and log bugs with clear steps, expected results, and actual results.
  • Retest issues after fixes are deployed to confirm resolution.
  • Support regression testing for new releases and platform updates.
  • Verify usability, consistency, and overall quality across the product experience.
  • Collaborate with developers and product managers to clarify issues and testing priorities.
  • Help maintain basic test documentation, checklists, and issue tracking records.


Qualifications


Required

  • Basic understanding of software testing or quality assurance principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies, errors, and broken
    work.
  • Clear written communication for documenting bugs, test results, and observations.
  • Ability to follow test steps carefully and work through repetitive tasks with consistency.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to reproduce issues and isolate what caused
    them.
  • Comfort using web applications, browsers, and common business software tools.
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-moving product environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple testing tasks at once.
  • Team-oriented attitude and willingness to work closely with technical and non-technical
    colleagues.


Preferred

  • Coursework, internship experience, certification, or project work related to QA, software testing, IT, computer science, or business systems.
  • Exposure to bug tracking or project management tools such as Jira, Linear, Trello, or similar platforms.
  • Familiarity with writing experience, product quality, and continuous improvement.


Prerequisites for Employment

  • Successful background check, including pre-employment drug screening
